Keith Haring's talent was fisrt recognized on subway platforms, like the one in the background, where his trademark chalk-drawn figures could be seen for the price of a token. By the time of his death in 1990 at the age of thirty-one, Haring's career had moved from underground New York to the most prestigious galleries and museums in the world. On February 16, 1990 at precisely 4:40 A.M., the radiant baby within Keith Haring died peacefully and undisturbed. Keith Haring's death certificate lists the official cause of death as cardiac arrest.
Although I am a small person I want to show the world my love for Keith Haring by dedicating this page to him and his work.
(Left)Near where I live on Long Island is the Schneider Childrens Hospital. In the front of the building is this Keith Haring sculpture. (Right)The Pop Shop located in New York city is my favorite palce to go to shop for Keith Haring Goodies. Here we see Ketih Haring standing in the middle of his decorated walls.
Keith Haring was diagnosed with AIDS and was a gay male... in society today hw would not be looked highly of, however Keith Haring fought till the very last day... In early February he even tried to go to work, but could barely paint due to weakness. These are just some reasons why I look up to Keith Haring and his work. I dedicate this page to Keith Haring and his family.
